You need fine coffee grounds when brewing coffee with the Nanopresso. Anything else apart from this will cause a poor tasting coffee which will not extract correctly.
For Best Results When Using Nanopresso
Follow these rules for the best coffee in the world:
- Always use quality, fresh coffee beans that are ground just prior to brewing
- Preheat all Nanopresso parts before use
- Use scales to measure the correct amount of coffee
- Pump up the right tempo, one pump per secound!
How Do You Use the Wacaco Nanopresso Coffee Brewer?
Following are the steps to use when making a coffee with the Nanopresso.
Here is what you need to make that perfect brew:
- Nanopresso Coffee Maker
- 8grams of Premium Quality Coffee Beans ground finely
- 80ml hot water
- Grinder (recommended for grinding beans)
- Scales (recommended)
Things to Do Prior To Brewing with the Nanopresso Coffee Maker
Ensure your Device is clean and dry before use.
It is recommended starting with whole bean coffee and grinding with a burr grinder before brewing for the best results.
Make sure you use quality water for boiling for best results.
How To Use the Nanopresso Coffee Maker (Quick and Easy Steps!)
Step 1.
Unscrew outlet head and remove filter basket.
Unclip cup if you need to use it also.
Step 2.
Unscrew water tank and remove the scoop and brush from it.
Add 8 grams of fine ground coffee into filter. (Choose fine grind perfect for espresso.)
Position filter basket on top of scoop and flip over to transfer coffee grounds. Make sure you tamp with hand and clean edges.
Step 3.
Put filter basket back into main body.
Screw outlet head on tightly to main body.
Step 4.
Add boiling water into water tank and screw main body onto water tank. (Place water tank on a level surface to avoid spillage)
Step 5.
Unlock the piston from the travel position and hold the Nanopresso with 2 hands.
Start pumping into cup using a steady pace. (1 pump every second. Takes 30 seconds to extract coffee)
First 8 strokes builds pressure up, then pump slowly until coffee comes out.
Step 6.
Once coffee stops extracting you can stop and lock pump back into travel position.
Step 7.
Now sit back and enjoy your hot cup of perfect espresso coffee.
Add in milk or sweetner as required to taste.
Cleaning the Nanopresso
Make sure after each use you clean all the parts of the Nanopresso that are required to be cleaned. (See manual)
Do not put any parts in dishwasher and once every 6 months (300 shots) you will need to clean the filter mesh.
